                        About Bumble Bee Hedgies

As of November 2025, I have chosen to give up my USDA license and transition to being a hobby breeder. This was not an easy decision, but as I move closer to retirement, I felt it was the right time to reduce the size of my herd to a level that allows me to continue breeding without a license. This change enables me to spend more time caring for and truly enjoying these wonderful creatures.
My goal remains the same: to breed healthy hedgehogs with long lifespans and great personalities. Hedgehogs should be friendly and easy to handle. To help achieve this, I begin handling babies as early as their mother allows, ensuring they are well socialized from a young age.
As a hobby breeder, I raise exotic pets for the joy they bring into my home—not simply for additional income (which, as many breeders know, is far less lucrative than most people assume!).
I offer ongoing support to all new—and not-so-new—hedgie owners throughout the lifetime of their hedgehog.
Many future hedgehog owners ask how hedgehogs get along with other pets. In most cases, the hedgehog itself doesn’t really care. It’s your other pets that require the most consideration.

Thank you for visiting Bumble Bee Hedgies!
